Switching Brains' Top Shot Soccer reaches 1.000.000 gameplays

By Tim Quax on 27 july 2011

Switching Brains launched its cross bar challenge game Top Shot Soccer during the World Championship 2010 of Soccer.

Top Shot Soccer, since its launch a year ago, has been played over a million times. Even though a year is quite a long time it actually means the soccer game has been played roughly 2800 times every day, non-stop for a whole year. As the programmer behind the game, I'll refrain from saying that's impressive. (but it is).

Switching Brains

Switching Brains, a game development team, is known for its wide range of genres. While the Dutch team created a few soccer games it is, for example, also responsible for Vuvuzela Killer (kill anyone who blows on a vuvuzela) and StarFire: Retaliation (shoot aliens until you drop). From aliens to vuvuzela's, from fireworks to mowing grass (seriously), they seem to have it all.

The Game

In the game you have to hit the cross bar of the goal. You can choose the angle of the kick, as well as the force. You can compete in this challenge with everyone through the high scores.
