100.000 Android-apps; magical number to be reached in july according to AndroLib

Estimates from AndroLib would conclude there will be 100.000 apps in the Android Market by the end of this month. Android has been breaking its own app-submit record on a monthly basis since last year.

If the growth in the app submitting is continuing as is, the magical number of 100.000 Android apps will be reached by the end of the month. This growth is as significant as it is remarkable: September 2009 counted 10.000 apps, last month 15.000 apps were added to the Market. The platform's popularity amongst developers has skyrocketed.

Even though the popularity of the Android platform is growing like mad-hatters on a cabbage field, Steve Jobs claims the App Store receives 15.000 apps on a weekly basis, begging for acceptance. As we all know a very small percentage of these apps get accepted by Adolf & Co. You can check the Android stats here.
